The world’s largest inclusive online professional development conference for women in tech will be held this year from the 13th till the 17th of November, proudly presented by emberin.
Registration is now open for the entirely virtual conference which will gather 50 senior tech industry leaders to inspire women to succeed in the tough, male dominated industry.
Speakers include Elizabeth Broderick, Australia’s most renowned promoter of gender equality and former Sex Discrimination Commissioner, as well as Claire Gillies, Managing Director at Accenture, and senior representatives from eBay, Microsoft, Google, MYOB, Facebook, Dell and Origin.
emberin is bringing together 10,000 women from across APAC to connect and share stories, tips and practical strategies. Topics will include engaging men in gender diversity and inclusive leadership, personal branding, workplace communication, male and female style difference, overcoming habit and procrastination, and many more.
Maureen Frank, Founder and Chief Disruption Officer at emberin said, “Gender diversity has always been a passion of mine. There are 196 world leaders, of which only 21 are women, and the gender pay gap hasn’t changed in years! Globally it’s 23.1% in favour of men, and in Australia it’s currently 15.3%”
“The number of women in leadership roles in Australia actually FELL in 2017! Something’s got to change and this conference will be pivotal for many women in the tech industry who are currently stuck in the status quo, unsure of how to take the next step up in their careers. We’ve got a fantastic line up of speakers from all the big tech companies across the Asia Pacific, and they are excited to share their insight and advice to help these women succeed,” Ms Frank said.
Delegates will benefit by hearing real stories from senior individuals in the tech and diversity industry to help build confidence and courage, create new habits, combat that nervous inner voice, learn how to embrace a feminine leadership style, and learn what is happening in the world of diversity and inclusion.
Speaker Claire Gillies of Accenture said, “I am honoured and excited to take part in this pioneering virtual conference and share my knowledge on how women can succeed in an industry that has struggled with a gender balanced workforce. I’m looking forward to the panel discussions which will start a real debate between the speakers, and hear different perspectives from across APAC.”
This event will make a significant impact on the lives and careers of 10,000 women across the Asia Pacific region and play a crucial role in making a change for women in technology.
The registration fee for participants is just USD $50, with an option for delegates to purchase the ‘on demand’ box set after the conference.
